ProGEO-México: Launching a New Chapter in Geological Heritage Conservation

The International Association for the Conservation of Geological Heritage (ProGeo) is pleased to announce the official launch of its newest national chapter: ProGeo-México. This pioneering initiative marks a significant advancement in efforts to protect, study, and promote the rich and vast geological heritage of Mexico.

ProGeo-México is being established with the core mission of creating an interdisciplinary and modern vision for the Earth Sciences within the country, aligning national efforts with the global objectives of geoconservation and the preservation of Geodiversity.


Call for Engagement and Collaboration


We invite geoscientists, researchers, educators, students, governmental bodies, and all interested parties to participate actively in the creation and development of ProGeo-México. Collaboration is essential to establish a robust network dedicated to these conservation goals.


ProGeo-México aims to:

• Conserve significant geological sites.

• Investigate Mexican geodiversity and geological heritage.

• Disseminate knowledge and raise public awareness of the value of this heritage.

Registration and Information

Interested individuals and institutions are encouraged to join the ProGeo global network and contribute to this vital national effort.
