ProGEO brings together nearly 400 members from every continent: geologists, researchers, practitioners, and heritage specialists working across diverse fields of Earth sciences. This global community actively contributes to geoconservation, supports geoheritage initiatives, and advances the understanding and protection of geological diversity worldwide. Members collaborate through international projects, expert groups, conferences, and field-based research, strengthening geoconservation efforts across Europe and beyond. The strength of ProGEO lies in this multidisciplinary network, a community committed to sharing knowledge, exchanging best practices, and developing innovative approaches to protecting the geological record. Many members also serve in ProGEO working groups, regional branches, and committees, ensuring that diverse perspectives guide the organisation’s priorities.
